Members of the Thames Philharmonic Choir sing the Sunday services at the mighty and magnificent Winchester Cathedral on Sunday 20th August. Howells (not howls!) Communion Service and an anthem by Charles Wood in the morning; In the evening a setting in D by George Dyson, and a jolly 16th-century anthem by Batten. The photograph (from the Cathedral guide book) is of the choir stalls, not the most comfortable of seating, but beautifully carved by early 14th-century Norfolk man William of Lyngwode!
