"A wonderfully optimistic performance, full of energy and sharply defined, revelling in an almost paradoxical quality of reverent jubilation, but very Mozartian. It clearly impressed the audience."- from a review of Mozart's Requiem with Thames Philharmonic Choir, Cadogan Hall 2006, by composer Kevin Jones.
New Members welcome - to sing one of the most famous and loved choral works of all time: Mozart's Requiem. The Thames Philharmonic Choir rehearsal on 23 January is open to all who are interested in singing with a good London choir. Our illustrious Director, John Bate, will guide us through the programme for our next big concert at Cadogan Hall on 10 March, and afterwards we meet and chat over a drink. We'll also be singing the sometimes jazzy, sometimes movingly lyrical Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein, to commemorate the centenary of the composer's birth.
OPEN REHEARSAL, Tuesday, 23 January at 7.30pm, Granard School, Putney, SW15 6XA. If you’d like to find out more beforehand, ring membership secretary Sue Ready on 07729 349713.
Come along with your singing friends and relations, men and women, student to senior!
